I’m here for you.

M Y P U R P O S E S T A T E M E N T

I’m an honest, curious and creative thought partner and guide.

I work with introspective action-takers, who want to understand themselves more fully.

I provide an optimistic and non-judgemental space, where a client can cultivate self-acceptance and develop insights about who they are and what truly matters in the end.

My Story | Keel’s Story.

Starting with curiosity

I started with an interest in people: how we think, what motivates us, and why we make the choices we do.

I studied Psychology and Economics at the University of Waterloo, and later completed an MBA at Toronto Metropolitan University. At the time, I didn't see these interests as parts of any particular plan. I was simply curious about people, the brain, and how decisions are made.

I was one of those people who took the advice: "follow your passion". I believed that if you could figure out what you loved, the rest was largely a matter of finding a way to make a living doing it.

Finding a way to make it happen

My first career was recruitment. I spent six years helping people navigate theirs, eventually working in corporate and national recruitment at IBM Canada.

But I was still trying to figure out my own.

After leaving recruitment, I spent time pursuing architectural photography. I loved architecture, design and the built environment, and assumed that somewhere inside those interests I would find the work I was meant to do.

Photography didn't become the career I imagined. But following that interest eventually led me somewhere unexpected: real estate.

In hindsight, I wasn't following a career plan. I was creatively finding different ways to stay close to things I cared about.

Rethinking who I was

Real estate fit for a long time.

I spent twelve years in the profession, representing more than 110 clients across more than 160 transactions. It gave me independence, challenge, creativity and the opportunity to work closely with people while remaining connected to my fascination with homes, architecture and design.

Eventually, though, something changed.

The work that had once fit me no longer did. And after twelve years, leaving wasn't simply a career decision. Being a Realtor had become part of how I understood myself.

I had spent much of my life believing that meaningful work came from finding the right thing to do.

Leaving real estate forced me to reconsider that.

Bringing myself with me.

When I began coaching, I expected in some ways to be starting over.

Instead, I recognized myself.

The curiosity that had helped me understand clients was still there. So were my creativity and honesty. The qualities that had made me good at one career hadn't belonged to real estate at all.

They belonged to me.

I wasn't losing a part of myself by changing careers. I was bringing myself with me and finding another place to express those qualities.

That changed my understanding of meaningful work.

Perhaps the question wasn't simply "What am I passionate about?" or even "What should I do?"

There was another question underneath them:

Who am I while I'm doing it?

That question eventually became the foundation for Keel.

Identity. Meaning. Purpose.

My why.
